The new parking garage will be located across from the MassMutual Center.

Mayor Domenic Sarno said the $80 million state-of-the-art parking facility will transform the downtown business and entertainment district.

The project is set to be completed this fall.

The UMass Amherst Police Department is giving away child car seats.

The department was the recipient of a safety grant grant this year, giving them many car seats to distribute to those in need.

If you’re having financial difficulties and are in need of a seat, contact the the UMass Police Department for a free one.

Lastly, Wilbraham has been awarded over $50,000 to help fund a variety of energy conservation measures.

The grant will help Wilbraham make green improvements to several facilities including their IT building, library, and little red school house.

The money will also help fund two new police utility hybrid vehicles.
